You Are a Member!

December 8, 2006. Today, you are a member of...
Chromaticity

Green means go, members.  Green eggs and ham.  The color of money? Green. Emerald City? Green.  “The good green grass, that delicate miracle, the ever-recurringgrass.”1 Evergreen. Nightvision green.  Green with envy. “The Spring with its wavin' green grass and heaps of sweet-smellin' flowers on every hill and in every dale.”2 The Green Lantern.  The Green Party. Greenpeace. “The phosphorescence, that bluey greeny. Very good for the brain.”3 A green thumb. Little green men. Green Day. “Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises.”4 Soylent Green. Green Bay Packers.  “As long as you’re green, you’re growing, when you’re ripe, you rot.”5 Verde, vert, grün, groen, GREEN, already. As an adjective, akin to Old English growan to grow, and a wavelength roughly 520 – 570 nanometers, Green is usually a little unruly, but always indicative of possibility. It’s right there on the top of the spectrum.  Its chromaticity gives you great saturation and dominate wavelength. This week you got the green light, members. Go, go, go.
